duh me!

I was thinking I could do some sewing when I am off work for a few weeks.
I just realized I will not be able to iron.
Ugh.
I am probably in the minority here, but I love to iron!
Instant gratification.
Maybe I can buy a cheapo lightweight one...hmmm...
Or I may have to stick to crocheting and watching movies.

I have been such a blog slacker.
This was supposed to keep me sewing and hold myself accountable.
Now I am in this frenzy to get my house spic and span.
Good Lord!
What if someone comes to visit me?
I would die!
I am such a hoarder lately.
Don't get me wrong, its good stuff.
Just don't always have a place for it.

  1. I feel like a hoarder too! I really would like to have a whole house to put it in, but get the feeling, I would just fill up a whole house with new stuff!

  2. Pretty sure some of this stuff is actually yours. When you get that house I will deliver it! LOL

  3. A couple years ago I bought a tiny palm-sized iron at Big Lots or Tuesday Morning for about $13. I've seen them for sale other places for up to $40, but they weigh only a few ounces. I also have one of those tiny pressers that are heart shaped, less than 2 inches across--very much like the "tacking irons" we used as one of the steps in doing dry mounting and laminating 35 or 40 years ago.
The only downside to the palm sized iron is that it goes through water fast. (However, it's hot and ready to use in about 60 seconds.)

  5. I guess I will see how I feel. Me not working for 6 weeks (maybe more, the surgeon said he didn't want me lifting anything more than a gallon of milk for 6 MONTHS!!) is going to stress the finances. Any extra purchases, even small ones, will probably need to stop.
