Guilty...

...of totally ignoring my blog. But, in my defense, I have been busy.

• Am almost done with the top of Jill's quilt. She hasn't seen it yet, hard to keep it a secret when my sewing "room" is really just a wide spot in the hall. She walks through there several times a day.
• 2 more prayer shawls donated to church.(this makes 11 so far)
• Almost done with a lap afghan, also for church. (my 4th) I think its a nice idea that our UMW donates these. However, yarn is not cheap. Is there a polite way to ask that those in the group who don't knit or crochet to contribute to a yarn fund? 
• I made 40 dish cloths. I can make a pair in an afternoon when work is quiet.Some will  be donated to our church bazaar this fall, others I keep on hand for gifts. 
• Working on a white baby afghan for etsy.
• Also have a ripple baby girl afghan in progress. Will be donated to our church bazaar this fall. 
• Have a scarf in progress, red and yellow.
• Bought some yarn to make a rug for Jill's dorm room. Lime green, white, and little flecks of blue and yellow. She is so not a pink girl like her sister! 
• I also crocheted a cotton rug. Hope to list it on etsy soon.

Anyway.....Allison has some hats listed. Only one sale so far, but its not really hat season. Please stop buy. I have some pillows to finish that should be on there next week. And share with your friends or pin please :)

In other news:
We had 10 and a half inches of rain over the weekend. We are on high ground so we had a some run off and our driveway washed. But a little town near us is devastated. Hard to believe just last summer we were in a terrible drought.

Sorry no posts from me lately
Probably won't be for the rest of the month.

My youngest is graduating from high school at the end of the month.
And there is something on the calendar every. single. day.

This month is slipping away too quickly.

I have a few projects finished, a few in the works, and many more spinning 'round in my head.

I need to get my camera back from Aaron.
I have another camera, dead battery (charging as I type).
Of course it had to die Saturday.
Jill was at state solo/ensemble.

Had a friend take a picture of her handbell duet.
She also had bell choir.
I am really going to miss going to all that stuff! 

My son went to Norway

and he took my camera, here are a few shots....from the airplane. I do not want to think about what a little airplane his last flight was...but the pilot let his come in to the cockpit the 4th one.

April to do list

• Dish cloths. A friend of a friend asked for some to sell in her antique store. So far I have sold 3 sets. 
• Jill's quilt. Finish cutting the squares and start stitching.
• Get that Etsy shop going!  Allison and I are both trying to get a little ahead on inventory. I have a couple pillows almost done. (Some scarves done, but won't bother listing them til fall). But Allison sells her baby hats as fast as she can make them. 
• Baby my knee. Its so dang sore, my appointment is May 1 - far away, but the earliest I could get it without having to take off work.
• Order Jill's senior pictures. Its going to be hard to decide which ones to choose! 
• Buckle down with spending. Financial aid did not come through for us like we had hoped. Jill's tuition will be more than I make in a year. Lord help us!

Exercise!  No. Torn cartilage in my knees is awful. I  had an MRI and saw an orthopedic surgeon in Dec, she told me it would heal. I saw my family doctor a few weeks ago. He was not happy with her opinion, he said its completely detached and I should get a second opinion. So back to LaCrosse, and they sent me to the same doctor (ugh)  She told me this time its just arthritis and surgery wouldn't help. I don't think so, my knee cap moves and it hurts a lot. I know what arthritis is, and that's not the problem in my knee. So I will get another opinion, but not til May.

Prom dress shopping with Jill.  She wants to wear her homecoming dress from her junior year. Nice :) 

Start a quilt for Jill. I started cutting squares.

Not on the list I made several pillows, dish cloths, and other small projects.
