Mug rug for work

Before

I used some pastel scraps for the front. Part of a flannel remnant I got at walmart ( a 1/3 yard for 32 cents. I figured I used 8 cents worth, lol) for the back. I stitched them right sides together with a scrap piece of flannel for the batting and top stitched around the edge.

Thursday

Yesterday I had a doctor appointment in LaCrosse. Scott drove, so I did some crocheting on the way. I made a set of pink potholders, if Allison doesn't want them I might keep them. I made a set of blue ones on Thursday for Aaron. He will be moving into his first apartment in June. I have started a box for him, potholders, towels, a few dishes.

Right now I am working on some doll diapers. My co-worker is due in July and her soon-to-be 3 year old daughter is baby crazy already :) I am using some flannel I had in my stash. Sewing on the velcro by hand. I need a thimble...

We stopped at walmart yesterday. I bought some remnants. Fabric is expensive. I need to find a source for free fabric. LOL
pictures soon!

Using scraps

My first ever scrap-busting mug rug.
Its in the mail,
off to my sister in law. She likes pigs, I knew I had some fabric with a pink pig - took me a while to find it. She also gets a random 'J'

I spy quilt

I took some pictures of the I spy quilt before I gave it. I love the purple floral I used for the back.
