Last day of June

Instead of listing all the things I didn't finish in June.
I am going to make a positive list.

  • Got squares cut for Emma's quilt.
  • Started sewing them into pairs.
  • Sorted through several totes of out grown kids clothes. Have some to donate, other to repurpose and still more back into the totes because I can't part with it yet.
  • Crocheted a pile of dishcloths.
  • Have a half afghan done, using up odds and ends yarn.
  • Made a mug rug from my cousin's birthday and got it to her in time!
  • Went to my in-laws to check the dog when they were gone overnight, found they were using the most adorable enamel bowl to scoop dog food. I asked nicely and they gave it to me...the bowl, not the beagle :)

Crochet Rugs

Excuse the crappy background. I took these pictures at work and the walls are yucky.
I made these cotton rugs this past winter. I love how they turned out.
I really think crocheting rugs is my new favorite past time.
Not sure what to do with them tho. I thought about opening an Etsy shop. But don't think I want the hassle. Not sure if anyone would buy them anyway. So I will keep them for now.

Crochet rug

I started another crocheted rug.
This one will be for my niece who will be heading to college next fall.
Dorm room floors are cold.

I should keep my camera in my purse. So you could see how precious little I have done on it :o)
Its hard to get anything accomplished when I am stalking quilting blogs and scrolling through flickr for inspiration.

Updated. I finished it up on Friday. Thought about adding another row of each pink and purple..but decided it might get too big. Sorry about the location, its the copy machine at work :)

scrap rug

I started this last week
Had intended to use some leftover yarn to make a little rug.
The more I did, them more I liked it.
I had to go buy more pink, blue, and yellow.
I added a slip stitch edge.
And left all the tassley ends on the sides.
Its just going to be a bath mat by the shower, it will get washed a lot and they will just work themselves back out anyway ;)

That little blob of cream yarn is all I had left.
Cut it pretty close didn't I?
